  First, register and request your absentee ballot with the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA).

  Pro Tips for a Timely Ballot:
  1. Choose to receive your ballot by email when filling out the FPCA (all states allow it).
  2. Email your FPCA (you can see if your state allows that after filling it out).

  Pro Tip to Determine Your Voting State:
  Use the address that you consider your permanent home and where you had a physical presence. While your voting residence can be the same as your home of record, you'll need to update your voting state if you change your legal residence or domicile at any point.
